Teachers! If you would like to start Graph of the Week in your classes this upcoming year, you've come to the right place! I have provided a Google Slide presentation (two different topics for you to choose from) that you can walk through with your students. I will do this at the end of the first week of school.
I have also provided a Word doc for your students to fill out while you go through the slides with them. (This is meant to be a half-sheet, front and back. Format it the way you'd like to for your students!

Recently, I had students create their own pie graphs. They had to choose what things/ideas were important to them, and assign those items a percentage. Then, after I had introduced the GOW with the powerpoint above, I had students write an analysis on another student's pie graph. It was a great success, and they had a better idea of how to extrapolate information from the data. In my opinion, this was a great toe dip into GOW.
